Car Crash During Police Chase Sends Car Into Home
NBC Dallas-Fort Worth reported on an accident where a fugitive crashed into an uninvolved vehicle and sent it flying into a house. Fortunately, only two people were injured in the crash.
The crash happened at North Bryant Irving Road and Kilpatrick Avenue. U.S. Marshals were chasing the suspect and trying to pull a suspect over when the impact happened. The suspect sent a parked SUV spinning into a home that contained four apartments.
One of the residents said he heard no sirens before the bang of the collision. When he went to see what happened, he saw a car pushed through a wall and the suspect surrounded by around eight officers with weapons drawn. He immediately left the scene.
The suspect was one of the injured and he will be arrested as soon as he checks out, according to the U.S. Marshals. The suspect’s original charges were not made clear to reporters.
It’s likely that the building will need to undergo an inspection to see if it’s still safe, and the landlord’s insurance company is not going to be happy about what happened.
We hope that everyone injured gets a full recovery and that the landlord can receive adequate compensation to repair the home and make it liveable again.
