Police Investigate The Death Of A Pedestrian In Irving
A young woman is dead and her killer is still at large in Arlington, Texas. Police are investigating a hit-and-run that took place in the early hours of Sunday morning, according to this report from NBC DFW. At about 4 in the morning, police responded to a call reporting what was described as a major car crash on the southbound lanes of the 1500 block of North State Highway Loop 12. There, they found a young woman that had been hit by at least one vehicle. She was already dead when police found her in the middle of the road.
The woman was taken to the medical examiner’s office. There, she was identified as a 24-year-old woman. No one has come forward yet to admit to any involvement in this tragic crash. This is especially horrendous since there is the possibility that she was struck by more than one vehicle, judging by the original report that was given to the police by phone of a “major crash.”
The police are asking anyone that has any information about this even to call 911 or otherwise contact the police. This would do more than simply bring closure to the family of this young woman. It might also allow the authorities to help stop any dangerous driver out there from causing yet another accident in which even more people could be injured or killed.
